Give Art & Give Back is an initiative in honor of childhood created in 2019 by the Educambio Foundation & the artist Armando Mesías.
Together they discovered that art is a gift that can give new meaning to the history of communities and generously change their reality.
We are Educambio, a sustainable social company that provides educational opportunities and tools for boys, girls and young people in vulnerable contexts in Colombia.
We believe in sustainable social transformation through education.
The Blue House of Siloé (LCAS) is a project that aims to strengthen transferable skills through art and play, of boys, girls and young people between 6 and 15 years old in Commune 20.
The project seeks to offer a safe space for the training of participants. The interest in promoting this initiative arises from a diagnosis that revealed the need to implement innovative education strategies through art and play for the boys and girls of Comuna 20, who have reduced opportunities for the use of free time. .
In 2022, the execution of the pilot of La Casa Azul de Siloé began, where more than 70 hours of class have been taught, with the presence of 10 trainers.
The program has been very well received in the community, and to date more than 60 students and their families have participated. In addition to the classes that are regularly taught, a school reinforcement program has also been implemented.
100% of the funds raised by Give Art & Give Back and the free donations derived from the Auction will be used to maintain and finance the activities at 'La Casa Azul', whose annual operating cost is 35 million pesos. They are managed through Educcambio.
Expansion of days, training of trainers and continuation of the adaptation of spaces to increase the capacity of La Casa, are priorities of the group for La Casa Azul de Siloé.
